About the Allegory

A long, long time ago, In an ancient town, There was a beautiful and kindhearted girl. Her laughter is as refreshing as the spring morning dew. Angel and Demon fell hopelessly in love with the girl simultaneously. The local people, however, hold a completely different view; they say she is a harbinger of disaster and will bring calamity to the world. Driven by ignorance and fear, they decided to burn the girl to eliminate potential disasters. The Angel could not tolerate such brutality and understood that the impending disaster could be averted only by killing the girl. Thus, he decided to take action. His wings turned cold and rigid, relentless in his eyes. He picked up the sword and walked to the girl. Right when he was about to kill the girl, he discovered a shocking truth – his adversary, the Demon, had already taken the life of everyone one step ahead.

Let's talk about LOVE

DemonLover, the brand, is inspired by this profound allegory about human nature, choices, and destiny. The first time I encountered this story, I was a kid and didn't grasp its deeper meaning. However, it planted a seed deep in my memory.

Many years passed, and I came across this story again by chance. It feels like a different lifetime. Can we discern the truth and make the right choices between good and evil, love and sacrifice? My best friend asked me: "Who would you fall in love with? An angel who is always right or a demon who betrays the entire world to protect you?" I replied, “If there were no angels in this world, I wouldn't mind."

I have always considered myself fortunate, receiving abundant love from this world, family, friends, and mentors, etc. When it comes to love, many wonderful guys come into my life. Although no one leads to marriage or a lifelong partner, I am still grateful that they make me know myself better. How I want my life to be and who I want to spend it with. With this, I became a better version of myself, more confident and independent as time passed.

True love is rare; princes and princesses exist only in fairy tales.More often than that, we must go through countless confusion, disappointments, and helplessness, evolving into two mature adults. Then, you must be fortunate enough to encounter each other and then be wise enough to realize that life loses all meaning without one another. Consequently, you both decided to spend the rest of your life together.

Love is serendipity, but one thing is certain: the only person who never ghosts you, deserts or betrays you, and understands your desires, ambitions, and even your dark side is the little Demon of yourself. We should love this little Demon deeply. Just as Oscar Wilde said: "To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance."

I also believe that getting married and building up a family is the most enjoyable experience in life. Knowing how rare love is, I forgive its tardiness and absence sometime in my life. The presence or absence of love does not determine my satisfaction and sense of achievement. Rather than eternity, I prefer love to be pure. If one day I get married, I hope to change that "until death do us part" vow to: "Right here, right now, I truly love you."

We have received many gifts such as flowers, chocolates, a bottle of wine or a box of tea, etc. These are such sweet choices that are never made mistakes. However, the gift I treasure for a lifetime is the silver emerald ring from my first love. Even though it was tarnished with time, it still reminds me of the beautiful time. It is the earrings my mom gave me when my first piercing felt like a coming-of-age ceremony. It is the watch I bought myself when I earned the first million, even though it cost a fortune on luxury goods. I was confident that I would make many more millions in the future. It is the commemorative ring awarded by the company I worked for, symbolizing my contributions and status within the organization. I jokingly tell my colleagues that wearing it feels like I'm married to my job, and indeed, it has given me a sense of security and belonging.

Time seems to stand still. Those beautiful memories and vows are crystalized in these charming jewelry pieces, accompanying me through my life and making it meaningful.
